State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company: The 2nd liquid-cooled supercharging station has been put into operation

On March 3, the Shuangzhuang Supercharging Station, situated on Tonghu avenue in Suqian city, Jiangsu province, was completed and commenced operations. This marks the second liquid-cooled supercharging station to be operational under the jurisdiction of Suqian Power Supply Company, following the launch of the Weishanhu Road Supercharging station.
The Shuangzhuang Supercharging Station is situated on the west side of Tonghu avenue and the north side of the Suzhou Huanghua Line in Sucheng district, Suqian city. The surrounding area boasts convenient transportation, and there is a strong demand for charging private cars and online car-hailing vehicles.
The station is equipped with 480kW one-machine, three-pile, six-gun supercharging piles and 10 DC fast charging piles, capable of providing efficient and rapid charging services for 16 electric vehicles simultaneously, with an average daily service capacity of 600 vehicle trips.
The supercharging piles in the station utilize liquid cooling high-power charging technology, with a maximum output power of 480kW per gun. For new energy vehicles equipped with super-fast charging battery technology, it can achieve a supercharging speed of adding a range of 400 kilometers in just 10 minutes, providing vehicle owners with more efficient and faster super-fast charging services.
With the increasing number of new energy vehicles, car owners' expectations for charging have shifted from merely having a charging station available to achieving a better charging experience. Currently, the power of mainstream fast charging stations in Suqian ranges from 60 to 120 kW. However, many car companies are now introducing supercharged models featuring 800-volt voltage platforms.
As the number of models grows and charging station technology continues to evolve, the average charging time for mainstream best-selling models is expected to be shortened to approximately 15 minutes, significantly enhancing the user's charging experience and the efficiency of charging station utilization.
Based on market demand and charging data from the Internet of Vehicles platform, State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company has selected the Shuangzhuang charging station, which has a concentrated travel demand and a robust energy replenishment demand, to install additional super charging piles. It is anticipated that after the installation, the annual charging capacity will increase by 20 percent, reaching 1.3 million kWh, thereby further enhancing the citizens' green travel charging experience.
In the next phase, State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company will steer the planning and construction of supercharging facilities based on the principle of prioritizing transformation and upgrading, with new construction as a secondary approach.
This will expedite the implementation and operation of various supercharging station projects, including the Guankou community, GreenTree Inn, and Shuyang East Road neighborhood center.
Simultaneously, by focusing on charging scenarios such as highways, township areas, and residential neighborhoods, the company will proactively plan and precisely execute to ensure the high-quality construction of premium projects. This will aid in the development and enhancement of the city's charging infrastructure, ultimately providing new energy vehicle owners with more convenient and efficient charging services.
