Drill of strategic cruise missiles conducted
The armed forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea conducted a launching drill of strategic cruise missiles in waters off its west coast on Wednesday, the official Korean Central News Agency said on Friday. The Korean People's Army, or KPA, fired two strategic cruise missiles, which traveled 1,587 kilometers before hitting their target, KCNA said. The purpose of the launching drill is to inform the "enemies of the KPA's counterattack capability in any space and the readiness of its various nuke operation means", said the report.

Thousands protest over 2023 train crash
Hundreds of thousands of people rallied in cities and towns across Greece on Friday to demand justice on the second anniversary of the country's deadliest-ever train crash, and striking workers grounded flights and halted sea and train transport. Fifty-seven people were killed when a passenger train filled with students collided with a freight train on Feb 28, 2023, near the Tempi gorge in central Greece. A separate judicial investigation remains unfinished and no one has been convicted in the accident.

US Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday released government documents related to wealthy financier Jeffrey Epstein. However, the first wave of files posted on the Justice Department website has largely been circulating in the public domain for years and didn't include any new bombshells about the sex trafficking case that has been a favorite subject of conspiracy theorists.
