In a move aimed at reducing nationwide logistics costs and modernizing freight transportation, China State Railway Group, the national railway operator, has partnered with four major shipping companies to launch a streamlined "single-bill" service for containerized multimodal transport. The initiative, announced on Friday in Beijing, marks another step in China's efforts to foster closer integration between rail and maritime transport.

The four shipping companies — COSCO Shipping Lines, Sinotrans Logistics, Antong Holdings, and Pan Asia Shipping — will collaborate with China State Railway Group to offer customers a seamless "single-bill" service for rail-water intermodal transport. This service is designed to simplify logistics processes, reduce costs, and inject new momentum into the development of China's modern logistics system.

Under the new system, customers can now handle the entire logistics process — from booking to delivery — through a single application on the 95306 online platform. The service eliminates the need for customers to negotiate separately with multiple carriers for tasks such as document transfers and cargo transshipment.

According to the group, the initiative aims to provide customers with more efficient, convenient, and cost-effective logistics solutions, ultimately contributing to the reduction of overall logistics costs and the development of a more integrated national transport network. It also paves the way for a more resilient and efficient supply chain.
