In recent years, the State Grid Corporation of China has implemented various measures to ensure the stable operation of cross-railway transmission lines. In Suqian, Jiangsu province, the local power supply company and the railway bureau have jointly conducted a joint inspection tour to identify potential safety hazards.

On Feb 14, the State Grid Suqian Power Supply Company, in collaboration with the Huai'an High-Speed Railway Infrastructure Section of the Shanghai Railway Bureau, conducted a joint special inspection tour of six cross-railway transmission lines in the urban area of Suqian. The aim was to efficiently identify potential hazards along the lines and enhance emergency response capabilities, thereby ensuring the safe and stable operation of both the railway and the power grid.

This joint inspection utilizes a three-dimensional inspection approach combining manual inspection and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology to conduct detailed inspections across railway sections, with a focus on issues such as corrosion of railway fittings, aging of insulators, wear of conductors and ground wires, and cracks in railway slope protection.

During the joint inspection, both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on technology, safety, operation and maintenance, construction, emergency response, and other related areas. They established working mechanisms, including joint account management, mutual safety assurance, joint inspections, and emergency response coordination. This has facilitated the timely rectification of potential hazards in cross-railway transmission lines, thereby jointly enhancing the safety management level of these lines. It is anticipated that the two parties will complete the remaining seven joint inspections by Feb 25.
