New York audiences treated to sounds of Chinese instruments

The concert concluded with Li's The Majestic Land, which portrays the grandeur of China's landscapes throughout the day, from the sunrise over Mount Tai in East China's Shandong province to the starry sky above China's 500-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Cai added: "I think the relationship between the US and China is important, it's very important, especially in contemporary times. The two biggest countries in the world need to connect together. I think music has been one of the tools to connect people."
