A Chinese idiom goes, "An old steed in the stable still aspires to gallop a thousand li," referring to the ambitions and high hopes held dear by the elderly.

The Vitality of Spring Endures in Every Stroke, an exhibition at the Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy, salutes their retired resident painters' persistence in art.

On display are dozens of the latest paintings by these seasoned artists who have reshaped the art landscape over the years and continued to seek breakthroughs after retirement, showing that their endeavoring spirit never retires.
