A snake venue at the Chimelong Safari Park in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, has been upgraded to welcome the upcoming Chinese New Year and showcase a variety of rare snake species.

The venue has also been upgraded with digital interactive experiences, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere of the Year of the Snake during the Spring Festival holiday.

In traditional Chinese culture, the snake is often referred to as a small dragon, known for its flexibility, mystery and positive symbolism.

The newly upgraded venue features over 20 rare species with more than 300 snakes and a spectacular appearance of five golden snakes, according to the safari park.

The safari park has recreated multiple terrains within the venue and implemented 24-hour temperature and humidity control to provide different snake species with their native habitats, allowing them to exhibit natural behavior.
