Snow blankets the vast landscape, igniting excitement as skiing slopes open for the season. This winter, the Tonglu Shengxianli International Ski Resort, nestled in the picturesque Hecun township, Tonglu county of Hangzhou, is experiencing a surge in popularity this winter. Recently, employees from the State Grid Hangzhou Power Supply Company visited the resort to carefully inspect the operation of power lines and equipment, ensuring the continued growth of this burgeoning winter sports economy.

Traditionally, winter sports have long been associated with the northern regions. However, ski resorts are now springing up across Zhejiang province, offering convenient access to snowy adventures for local enthusiasts and beyond. Tonglu Shengxianli International Ski Resort, boasting an impressive 100,000 square meters of skiable terrain, blessed by its high altitude and abundant moisture, provides ideal snowmaking conditions. With four diverse runs catering to all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned experts, the resort truly has something for everyone. Two all-weather snowmaking machines, 40 snow cannons and snow groomers operate around the clock, guaranteeing pristine, powdery snow and maintaining optimal slope conditions. Visitors can revel in the exhilaration of skiing while immersing themselves in the unique landscape of the Quaternary glacial relics, unleashing their energy on the stunning snow-covered trails and experiencing the distinctive charm of winter sports.

Recognizing the pivotal role of reliable power for a top-notch skiing experience, the State Grid Hangzhou recently conducted a comprehensive assessment of the resort's electrical infrastructure to guarantee uninterrupted power supply for this burgeoning winter sports economy. Utilizing drones to patrol distribution lines surrounding the resort and meticulously examining the resort's substation, power control cabinets and other electrical equipment, the team proactively mitigated potential safety hazards.

"Once winter rolls around, our ski resort gets crazy busy. So it's a huge relief you came to check on the power," said Li Qiang, the resort manager, with a broad smile.
