On Nov 21, at the 110 kilovolt Yangtou Substation in Sanhe town, Taizhou, Zhejiang province, young staff members of the integrated operation and maintenance team of the State Grid Zhejiang Taizhou Power Supply Company conducted comprehensive maintenance work on the 110 kv Yangtou Substation under the guidance of experienced mentors. It marked the first time the integrated operation and maintenance team had participated in the comprehensive maintenance work of a 110 kv substation since its establishment.

During the maintenance, the State Grid Zhejiang Taizhou Power Supply Company assigned key tasks to the young staff members of the operation and maintenance team. This provided a valuable opportunity for learning and practice for the newly formed integrated operation and maintenance team. Throughout the maintenance process, the young staff members demonstrated their professional skills and team spirit.

Young staff members Wang Chentao and Hong Yitian, from the integrated operation and maintenance team, conducted C-level maintenance on the No 1 main transformer protection device. They first performed a thorough inspection and testing of the main transformer protection device to ensure that the internal components were intact and the wiring was correct. Then, using professional testing equipment, they verified and adjusted the selectivity, speed, sensitivity and reliability of the protection device.

"Master Chunfeng, what is the test voltage for the insulation resistance test between the high voltage and low voltage and ground of the transformer?" During the C-level maintenance and testing of the main transformer, young staff member Xu Jinjiang asked senior test master Chen Chunfeng, who patiently answered and carefully supervised him in various tasks such as measuring the direct current resistance of the windings, checking the voltage ratio and polarity checks.

During the C-level maintenance of the 110 kv disconnect switch, Liu Qiang, the leader of a work team, guided young staff members Wang Ruiyan and Wang Chentao in conducting a comprehensive inspection and repair of the disconnect switch, including replacing damaged parts, adjusting the transmission mechanism and cleaning accumulated dust. Throughout the maintenance process, they ensured that each task met quality standards.

A manager from the State Grid Zhejiang Taizhou Power Supply Company said: "During this maintenance work, the young staff members demonstrated the responsibility and commitment of new generation professionals. We hope they continue to carry forward these traditions and work style, contributing more strength to the safe and stable operation of the Taizhou power grid."

In the future, the State Grid Zhejiang Taizhou Power Supply Company will continue to strengthen the cultivation and development of its young team. By providing more practical opportunities and training platforms, the company aims to help them improve their professional skills and overall quality. Furthermore, the company will continue to advance the integrated operation and maintenance process, enhancing the reliability of the power supply.
