PLA conducts blockade drills around Taiwan with carrier Liaoning

The PLA conducted Joint Sword-2024B drills around Taiwan, with the Liaoning aircraft carrier group participating, in response to Lai Ching-te's separatist speech on October 10.

Compared to the 2022 drills after Nancy Pelosi's visit and the drills following Lai's speech in May earlier this year, Joint Sword-2024B drills tightened the ring of encirclement, demonstrating the PLA's greater ability to safeguard national sovereignty.

This time, the drills came early in the morning, signaling that the PLA can blockade Taiwan at any moment.

The Chinese Coast Guard was also involved, which ensures that separatists cannot escape by pretending to be civilians, experts said.

These actions show there's absolutely no tolerance or compromise when it comes to "Taiwan independence". When the mainland says it will act, it means it.
