Cooperation with Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos stressed
Vice-Premier Ding Xuexiang met on Tuesday with leaders from Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, during the 21st China-ASEAN Expo and the China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit.
When meeting with Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, Ding said China is ready to work with Vietnam to advance infrastructure connectivity, upgrade economic, trade and investment cooperation, cement public support, and push forward the building of the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
When meeting with Vongsey Vissoth, deputy prime minister of Cambodia, Ding said China is willing to work with Cambodia to expand cooperation in emerging fields such as green development and the digital economy, and encourages Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Cambodia.
When meeting with Kikeo Khaykhamphithoune, deputy prime minister of Laos, Ding said China is willing to work with Laos to strengthen economic, trade and investment cooperation, accelerate the construction of major projects, set a new benchmark for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, and work together to advance the process of national modernization.
Fight against cross-border corruption to be intensified
China's anti-graft chief Li Xi said on Wednesday that China will work together with other countries to combat cross-border corruption and build a world of integrity.
Li, secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, made the remark when meeting with high representatives attending the Fifth Plenary Meeting of the GlobE Network in Beijing.
The plenary meeting of the Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities, known as the GlobE Network, is being held from Monday to Friday.
Noting that China highly values international cooperation in anticorruption efforts, Li said the country earnestly fulfills the United Nations Convention against Corruption and has put forward initiatives such as refusing to provide safe haven for corrupt people, contributing to global governance in anti-corruption efforts.
