Chinese composer Zhao Jiping's Silk Road Fantasy Suite was performed by pipa (four-stringed lute) soloist Han Lei. The Xi'an Symphony Orchestra also presented its original large-scale choral work, Selections from the Tao Te Ching.

The concert also featured Western classical music works, including the fourth movement of Tchaikovsky's fourth symphony, and Italian operatic aria Nessun Dorm from Puccini's Turandot, featuring tenor Wang Chuan.
