Ningbo-Zhoushan HSR makes progress

The Ningbo-Zhoushan High-speed Railway, which is under construction and whose completion will connect all cities in Zhejiang province with the HSR network, entered the phase of whole-line construction when work on another major HSR bridge started recently. State builder China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp said its team started drilling for a major pillar of the Qiuai Railway Bridge in Ningbo, Zhejiang. CR24G said the HSR will link Zhoushan with the provincial HSR network, making the city the last one in the province to be connected.

Carlsberg's Foshan brewery starts ops

Carlsberg Group, a multinational brewer headquartered in Denmark, said its Carlsberg Foshan Sanshui Brewery, with an annual capacity of 500,000 kiloliters, has officially started operations. With a total investment of nearly 3 billion yuan ($420.9 million), the new brewery in the Sanshui district of Foshan, South China's Guangdong province, is the company's 27th in China, meant to supply markets in and around South China.
