Wu Mingju checks a carved coconut shell, and talks with foreign customers, in Haikou, Hainan province. His work has been in many exhibitions, illustrating the craft of coconut shell carving, a traditional art form in Hainan that was listed as a national-level intangible cultural heritage in 2008.
