Studying, implementing plenum's principles urged
Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has urged central Party and government departments to take the lead in studying and implementing the guiding principles of the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
In an instruction published on Wednesday, Xi said that the study and implementation of the guiding principles of the plenum, which adopted more than 300 policy measures to advance the nation's reform and opening-up, is a "major political task of the whole Party and country at present and in the near future".
Central Party and government departments should take the lead in implementing the CPC Central Committee's decisions and plans, and must be the pacesetter in carrying out the task, he said.
It is essential for the bodies to deeply comprehend and grasp the themes, major principles, key measures and fundamental guarantees of further deepening reform, Xi said, adding that the bodies must lead the way and set an example in comprehensively deepening reform to advance Chinese modernization.
