Suspects returned from Vietnam

Vietnamese police recently transferred 19 Chinese suspected of involvement in cross-border telecom fraud in Vietnam to China, along with related items, the Ministry of Public Security announced on Wednesday.
The ministry has deployed police from Liaoning province to escort the suspects back and investigate the case.
Chinese police identified clues indicating the existence of dens in Vietnam engaged in cross-border telecom fraud against Chinese citizens.
Acting on information provided by Chinese police, Vietnamese police dismantled five telecom fraud dens in Ho Chi Minh City, arresting 19 Chinese suspects and seizing tools used in the commission of the crimes, including computers and mobile phones.
The Chinese and Vietnamese public security ministries have intensified law enforcement cooperation since their eighth joint ministerial meeting in September, advancing efforts to combat cross-border telecom fraud crimes, the Chinese ministry said.
