FM fully supports Cambodia's path to success

China firmly supports Cambodia in pursuing a successful path of development in line with its national conditions, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

Wang made the comment when meeting with visiting Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea in Beijing on Friday.

Beijing supports Cambodia in maintaining stability, promoting development and improving people's livelihoods, and supports Cambodia in playing a more important role in international and regional affairs, he said.

China is willing to implement the strategic consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and continue advancing mutually beneficial cooperation, he added.

The senior Cambodian official said Cambodia attaches great importance to Cambodia-China relations.

Cambodia strictly honors the one-China principle and firmly supports China's efforts to safeguard its core interests, he said.
