National Assembly elects new chairman

The National Assembly, or NA, of Vietnam on Monday elected Tran Thanh Man as its new chairman.
At the ongoing seventh session of the 15th NA, the Politburo member and permanent NA vice chairman Tran Thanh Man won a majority of the parliamentary vote to become the 15th tenure NA chairman, Vietnam News Agency reported.
He used to be vice-chairman and chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and has been the permanent NA vice-chairman since April 2021.
