Expressway sees works gather speed
As on other major national expressway networks, the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway is seeing faster work on highway expansion, redevelopment and renovation on some of its sections. These works will facilitate links among regions along the Yangtze River and boost regional integrated development, said China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp, a State-owned contractor engaged in such projects. Sun Jian, a project manager with CR24, said the first on-site beam has been installed on the Guangde-Xuancheng section of the expressway, laying a solid foundation for the following beam building process.
China cuts retail prices of gasoline, diesel
China cut retail prices of gasoline and diesel on Thursday, based on recent changes in international oil prices. Gasoline prices were reduced by 235 yuan ($33) per metric ton and diesel prices by 225 yuan per ton, the National Development and Reform Commission said. Under the current pricing mechanism, prices of refined oil products are adjusted in accordance with changes in international crude oil prices.
