Farmers in Zhongwei city, located in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, have leveraged an agro-industrial park to develop specialty industries, significantly boosting local rural revitalization efforts.

At a smart greenhouse in the park, farmers are making use of advanced technologies to water the strawberries.

Huang Faguo, owner of the greenhouse, said new planting techniques were introduced last year. Farmers now use purified water for irrigation, enhancing the strawberries' size, taste, and ripening time.

Huang said the production value of the strawberries has more than tripled, reaching 400,000 yuan ($55,349.84) per greenhouse.

According to Huang, the agro-industrial park, jointly built by 11 local villages in 2020 and involving a total investment of 18 million yuan, nurtures various specialty industries including cold-hardy vegetables, fresh fruits, and facility cultivation agriculture.

Additionally, the agro-industrial park is equipped with numerous smart devices that depend on a stable power supply.

Against this backdrop, the State Grid's Zhongwei Power Supply Co regularly dispatches staff to the agro-industrial park to inspect agricultural equipment and promptly address any electrical hazards.

The staff also provides farmers with expert advice on electrical safety and energy conservation to help sustainably increase their income.
