In recent years, a group of rural firms has grown rapidly in Anyang city, Central China’s Henan province, creating more jobs for local farmers and significantly contributing to their livelihoods.

At a local industrial park, staff from Henan Xuxiaomi Food Co Ltd are busy producing chicken seasoning powder.

Li Jingbo, head of the company, said Xuxiaomi has provided jobs for more than 200 local farmers and is expected to increase their income in total by 120,000 yuan ($16,583) per year.

Li said the industrial park is currently home to nine rural firms, including manufacturers of vermicelli noodles, smart machines for mushroom growing, and electric motors.

The rapid development of the industrial park has resulted in a surging demand for electricity, and thanks to the local power supplier, the rural firms have no worries on that front.

“The State Grid’s Anyang Power Supply Co regularly sends staff members to visit my firm and inspect the electrical equipment... its good customer services have strengthened my confidence in the firm’s further growth,” said Li.

During their visits, the staff members also help customers conduct energy efficiency assessments, so as to properly adjust their production plans and promote electricity conservation.

According to the company, it is always committed to providing high-quality services that cover the entire life cycle of rural firms. So far it has served 3001 rural firms in Anyang, a year-on-year increase of 11.6 percent.

The company said it will keep a close eye on the rural firms’ needs and continue to ensure a stable power supply, thereby further advancing local industrial upgrading.
