Envoy wraps up Mideast tour on Ukraine issue
Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Eurasian Affairs Li Hui wrapped up the third round of shuttle diplomacy on Thursday aiming to promote political settlement of the Ukraine crisis. During the seven-day tour, Li visited Turkiye, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and held talks with relevant officials. Li also spoke to officials from countries such as Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia and Kazakhstan regarding the matter, the Foreign Ministry said in a news release on Friday.
South Korea's foreign minister to pay visit
South Korea's Foreign Minister Cho Tae-yul will visit China on Monday and Tuesday, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian announced. This is Cho's first visit to China since he assumed office. He held a phone call with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi in February. China is South Korea's largest trading partner, and South Korea is China's third-largest trading partner. Yoon Sukyeol, the country's president, appointed Cho as the foreign minister in January.
