Vice-president meets with FMs of Peru, Argentina
Vice-President Han Zheng held separate meetings with Peru's Foreign Minister Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea Franco and Argentine Foreign Minister Diana Mondino in Beijing on Monday.
During the meeting with the Peruvian foreign minister, Han emphasized China's clear and firm willingness to develop the comprehensive strategic partnership with Peru.
Han said that China is ready to work with Peru to maintain high-level exchanges, enhance strategic alignment, explore cooperation potential and promote high-quality cooperation on joint building of the Belt and Road. China supports Peru in hosting this year's Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Economic Leaders' Meeting, he added.
The Peruvian foreign minister expressed Peru's commitment to the one-China principle and its willingness to strengthen high-level exchanges with China, deepen practical cooperation in various fields and take Peru-China relations to new heights.
While meeting with Mondino, Han said that the development of China-Argentina relations is in line with the long-term interests of both countries and the expectations of their peoples. China is willing to work with Argentina to enhance political mutual trust and promote practical cooperation, he added.
Mondino acknowledged the positive development of Argentina-China relations in recent years and stressed the importance that Argentina attaches to cooperation with China. Argentina is optimistic about China's development and firmly adheres to the one-China policy, Mondino said, adding that it welcomes more Chinese companies to invest in the country.
