In 2023, China's esteemed Mao Dun Literature Prize was awarded to five diverse novels, each emerging from a unique background. The winners are Yang Zhijun's The Snow Mountain and the Homeland, Qiao Ye's Baoshui Village, Liu Liangcheng's Ben Ba, Sun Ganlu's A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains, and Dong Xi's Resonance.

In personal short films, these authors invite readers into their worlds: from the Tibetan Plateau and traditional epics to rural guesthouses, scenes of swordplay, and urban life, offering a vibrant exploration of the spiritual landscapes of the Chinese people as depicted through their stories.
