At Anhui Quanwei Green Energy Technology in the Sixian Economic Development Zone, Anhui province, staff members from State Grid Sixian County Power Supply Company provided services and listened to the company's current needs. This is an example of the power supply company's wholehearted service in the county's photovoltaic project pilot construction.

As a listed company engaged in new energy technology innovation, photovoltaic component development, energy storage product research, production and sales, Anhui Quanwei's Sixian base received investment totaling about 10 billion yuan ($1.38 billion). The area currently in use for phases one and two of the project reaches 40 hectares.

Since construction kicked off, the power supply company has set up a special working team to coordinate with the project managers and resolve power-related issues.

Prior to the arrival of the construction staff, the power company already completed the relocation of 1.2 kilometers of 10-kilovolt lines and 0.5 km of low-voltage pole lines in the site to ensure smooth construction progress.

Sixian county is a pilot region in the province that promotes photovoltaic development. The project there is implemented by State Power Investment Corp and the Hefei-based Chinaland Solar Energy. Their contract stipulates a photovoltaic promotion task of 380 megawatts, with a requirement to complete 120 MW by 2023.

In the second half of 2022, State Power Investment Corp kicked off its production and now there are 30 photovoltaic companies in the county. The county-wide production has further intensified the competition among enterprises for rooftop resources, driving Sixian county to become an area with rapid photovoltaic development.

As of December 2023, there were 10,196 households connected to the grid for photovoltaic power generation in Sixian county, with a total grid-connected capacity of 335,400 kilowatts.

Currently, the maximum electricity generation load in the spring is 76,000 KW. In 2023, a total of 5,249 households were connected to the grid, a year-on-year increase of 230.4 percent, with a grid-connected capacity of 158,900 KW, a year-on-year increase of 233.34 percent.

State Grid Sixian County Power Supply implemented a daily monitoring mechanism for photovoltaic businesses within the county by counting the number of work orders, organizing return visits for archived businesses, guiding local power supply stations to handle matters in a standardized manner and collaborating with the county's officials and photovoltaic enterprises.

The team members introduced new policies and new requirements to the client enterprises and tried to obtain the support and cooperation of photovoltaic companies. They collected opinions and suggestions from photovoltaic enterprises in all aspects and set up strong partnerships with them to ensure the orderly development of photovoltaics in Sixian county.
