The 21st Cherry Blossom Festival kicked off at Five Dragon Pool Park in Jinan on March 22 and will run until April 7.

A hanfu (traditional Chinese-style clothing) parade under the cherry blossoms was the highlight of the opening ceremony and attracted many spectators. Other performances, such as dances, a guzheng (a traditional, zither-like stringed instrument) performance, and a tea art performance, were staged to showcase traditional Chinese culture.

A series of events, including hanfu exhibitions, a cherry blossom-themed creation exhibition, and blind dates, will be held during the festival. There are also various cherry blossom-themed landscapes in the park that are great for photographers.

The Five Dragon Pool Park started introducing cherry blossoms in the 1980s, and it is the only park in Jinan to house a large number of cherry blossoms. It is currently home to nearly 300 cherry flower trees.
