China hopes that Australia will continue to resolve trade disagreements through dialogue and cooperation, and will soon terminate other trade remedy measures against Chinese products, said the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.

Australia announced that it will lift the trade remedy measures imposed on Chinese wind towers when the current measures expire on April 16, according to a notice released by Australia's Department of Industry, Science, and Resources last week.

China welcomes this move. There is vast potential for cooperation between China and Australia in the field of clean energy. China is willing to strengthen cooperation with Australia to jointly address global climate change, said He Yadong, a spokesman for the ministry, during a weekly news conference in Beijing.
