As temperatures rise in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, thousands of migratory birds, including white swans and wild geese have gathered in Tianhewan National Wetland Park in Shizuishan's Pingluo county.

They could be seen wandering around or swimming in a unique spring spectacle.

In recent years, Ningxia has continued to push wetland protection and restoration and has made significant strides in the governance of the Yellow River floodplain. The wetland system within the region has been protected and restored.

Pingluo, the county with the longest stretch of the Yellow River in Ningxia — 63 kilometers — is host to unique natural conditions for fish and waterfowl.
