Major progress seen on Jiangsu highway

Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, is ramping up efforts in its urban highway extension, especially projects connecting developing regions with major national routes, to enhance its connectivity with neighboring regions. China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp, the State-owned builder shouldering Yangzijin Road, said it has begun prefabrication of the box girders to be used on a bridge within the project. It represents a key local development project which aims to upgrade the highway network in and around Yangzhou.

PBOC adds liquidity via reverse repos

China's central bank conducted 3 billion yuan ($422.95 million) of seven-day reverse repos at an interest rate of 1.8 percent on Wednesday. The move aims to keep liquidity in the banking system reasonable and ample, the People's Bank of China said in a statement.
