Here Comes Liu Zhen, a play by the National Theater of China, is being staged at the National Center for the Performing Arts in Beijing from March 7 to 10. The play is about the lives of senior people after retirement.

Directed by Shan Guanchao and written by Li Ming, the play focuses on a retired woman, Mrs. Du, who changes her caretaker frequently. Mrs. Du's last caretaker, Liu Zhen, gradually eases her loneliness despite all the conflicts.

Premiered in 2019, the play reveals the challenge of elderly care in China, explores ways of emotionally comforting elderly people who live alone, and calls on people to be more caring for the elderly.
