In Shanxi, thousands of swans head north

As temperatures rise in North China, tourists and photographers were glad to see thousands of white swans gathering at the Swan Ecological Wetland Park in Pinglu county, Shanxi province.

They could be seen wandering around or swimming in the melting lake, creating a unique spring spectacle.

Staff members at the park are continuously caring for and feeding the birds, which ordinarily spend the winter there, as they prepare to fly back to Siberia as the weather gets warmer.
