Huaxia Bank net profit rises in 2023

Mid-size Chinese lender Huaxia Bank reported steady growth in net profit last year. The bank raked in 26.36 billion yuan ($3.71 billion) in net profit, up 5.3 percent year-on-year, according to a report the company filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange. Its revenue totaled 93.21 billion yuan in 2023, down 0.64 percent from the previous year.

Panasonic expands SMT machine factory

Panasonic has started its factory expansion project on SMT (surface mount technology) machines in Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, said the provincial commerce authorities on Friday. The factory expansion project is expected to double the capacity of the Suzhou company and upgrade its products.
