Premier Li Qiang has urged central government departments to focus on actions that will bolster public confidence and expectations, and maintain the consistency and stability of policymaking and implementation.
Li made the remarks on Sunday when chairing a plenary meeting of the State Council, which discussed a draft version of the government work report to be deliberated in March at the annual session of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislature.
Noting the importance of addressing the practical problems that concern the people and enterprises, Li urged efforts to invigorate the entire society with pragmatic and effective actions.
Facing challenges head-on, the premier emphasized using reform as the solution to obstacles. Efforts should be made to break free from conventional thinking and dependency on established paths, in order to solve issues with more creativity, he said.
