Cultural sector revenue up 8% in 2023

Major enterprises in China's cultural sector and related businesses saw a stellar increase in revenues and profits in 2023 as the industry continued to recover, official data showed on Tuesday. The 73,000 surveyed enterprises raked in 12.95 trillion yuan ($1.82 trillion) in combined revenue last year, up 8.2 percent from 2022, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

7th CIIE sees bookings for over 180,000 sq m

An expo area of over 180,000 square meters has been booked for the seventh China International Import Expo, according to a CIIE promotion event. The global promotion of the seventh edition was launched in December and is scheduled to last until the end of June. The promotion is expected to cover more than 30 countries and regions.
