PNG's capital governor appeals for calm after looting, vandalism in Port Moresby

SYDNEY -- Governor of Papua New Guinea's National Capital District Powes Parkop has called for calm and a return to normalcy, after vandalism disrupted Port Moresby.

Calling for normalcy to be restored and for looting to stop, the capital governor Wednesday asked the city's police to regain control, while appealing to citizens to "cease the looting and vandalism of properties."
