Water puppetry links China and Vietnam

Phan Thanh Liêm is an inheritor of Vietnamese water puppetry.

His house in Hanoi has been a popular stop for tourists who want to watch authentic Vietnamese puppetry.

He has also been invited to perform in China multiple times. In this video Phan recalled his performances in Nanning and Shenzhen, both in southern China.
