Qinshan nuclear power station sets new record for power generation

Qinshan nuclear power station in Zhejiang province, the first nuclear power plant designed and built in China, has generated more than 53.5 billion kilowatt-hours of clean power as of Tuesday, a record high, said its operator China National Nuclear Corp.
This has exceeded the annual power generation of last year and marks the ninth year of power generation increase, it said.
The first pilot nuclear heating project in southern parts of China, which is built upon the residual thermal power of Qinshan nuclear power station, is also currently under operation in Haiyan county in Zhejiang province, it said.
