Power, storage battery output up

China's output of power batteries and storage batteries saw rapid expansion in November, said the China Automotive Battery Innovation Alliance. Last month, the output of such batteries stood at 87.7 gigawatt-hours, up 40.7 percent year-on-year. In the first 11 months, output rose 41.6 percent year-on-year to 698.7 GWh. Sales of the batteries came in at 84.2 GWh last month, up 12.3 percent from October.

Commercial vehicle sales soar 44.6%

China's commercial vehicle sales jumped 44.6 percent year-on-year in November, industry data showed. A total of 366,000 such vehicles were sold in the country last month, said the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. During the first 11 months, China's commercial vehicle sales stood at about 3.67 million units, up 21.8 percent from the same period last year. In the January-November period, sales of trucks and buses rose 21.7 percent and 22.8 percent, respectively.
