A pair of agave attenuate "Nova" in the Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden recently bloomed. This is the first time the two large rosette succulents are flowering in nearly a decade.

The two succulents were introduced to the garden's desert plants zone in 2013 and now measure over 1.2 meters in height. The plant is known for its blue serrated leaves and spiky inflorescence. The flowering period will last several months.
