State builder starts water project in Angola
State builder China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd has started work on a water supply network project in Luanda, capital of Angola. The project is expected to meet the needs of some 3 million residents. CREC4 representative Li Xiaogang and the Angolan ministry of energy and water use signed a document on behalf of the builders to launch the project, which includes building a water supply network spanning 465 kilometers and water-supply links to 6,273 households. The project is located in Benfica district in southern Luanda.
PBOC adds liquidity via reverse repos
China's central bank conducted 663 billion yuan ($93.36 billion) of seven-day reverse repos at an interest rate of 1.8 percent on Thursday. The move aims to keep liquidity in the banking system stable at the end of the month, the People's Bank of China said in a statement.
