Chinese FM stresses two-state solution to Palestinian-Israeli issue

UNITED NATIONS -- China calls for the convening of a more authoritative, broader-based and more effective international peace conference as soon as possible, so as to formulate a timetable and road map for a restart of the two-state solution, said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

China supports the United Nations in playing a leading role in this regard, Wang made the remarks while meeting UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday.
