China is willing to work with Japan to strengthen dialogue and exchanges in the field of export control and create more favorable conditions for the development of bilateral trade cooperation, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday.

The two countries will make concerted efforts to maintain a stable and smooth industrial and supply chain, and promote the steady and sound development of economic and trade relations between the two sides, said Commerce Ministry spokeswoman Shu Jueting at a news conference.

China and Japan on Nov 16 agreed to set up a dialogue mechanism for export controls and a working group for improving the business environment during the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in San Francisco, the United States.
