Marine industry output rises
China's marine economy continued to post stable growth in the first nine months of this year, the Ministry of Natural Resources said on Monday. The country's gross marine product grew 5.8 percent year-on-year to 7.2 trillion yuan ($1 trillion) in the first three quarters, He Guangshun, director of the marine strategic planning and economics department of the ministry, told a news conference. The output of offshore crude oil and natural gas increased by 4.6 percent and 9.7 percent from a year ago, respectively, during this period.
Courier sector grows 12% in Jan-Oct
China's courier sector continued to see rapid growth in both business volume and revenue during the first 10 months of this year, official data showed on Monday. The sector raked in total revenue of 964.38 billion yuan ($134.67 billion) in the January-October period, up more than 12 percent year-on-year, according to the State Post Bureau. Express delivery firms handled 105.17 billion parcels in this period, up 17 percent year-on-year.
