New World Openness Index released
The World Openness Index, which gauges the openness levels of 129 economies from 2008 to 2022, was released at the sixth Hongqiao International Economic Forum in Shanghai. In 2022, the WOI stood at 0.7542, reflecting a continued overall downward trend, with greater divergence of openness seen between countries, sectors and regions.
Czech exporter expects more biz opportunities
Attending the China International Import Expo for the sixth straight time, Czech beverages firm BlueTouch Export is keen for more business opportunities in the growing Chinese market. "I think the Chinese market will grow very fast compared to other countries," said Marek Vyskocil, founder of BlueTouch Export. Exclusively representing Lahofer, one of the biggest wineries in the Czech Republic, Vyskocil said the company will bring a variety of wines to the expo.
