Seven foldable smartphone makers in China

China's foldable smartphone market is seeing a rapid growth trend in the third quarter of this year, with shipments hitting 1.96 million units, a surge of 90.4 percent from a year earlier, according to market consultancy IDC on Oct 27.

With technologies for the foldable smartphone continuing to develop and mature, issues such as the products being "heavy and expensive" are being gradually solved, and the popularity of the foldable smartphone continues to enter the fast lane, said the IDC.
