Children's award-winning paintings win hearts


Chinese Children's Painting, an exhibition focused on awarded paintings of two places in China that are well-known for children's painting, namely Suining, Jiangsu province, and Hechuan in Chongqing as well as works of exceptional children ended on Sept 11 in Beijing.
The three-day event, held at the Beijing Language and Culture Center for Diplomatic Missions, displayed more than 200 paintings spanning four decades.
More than 30 representatives of foreign embassies and consulates to China, children's painting teachers, and student representatives attended the opening ceremony of the Special Invited Works of International Children's Painting Exhibition and the Exhibition of the Award-winning Chinese Children's Painting on Sept 9.
Cui Qiang, president of the Society and Public Welfare Journal, also one of the organizers of the event, said the exhibition aims to focus on the inward world of children and teenagers and links the hearts of Chinese and foreign friends.
