Warehouse storage in expansionary territory
China's warehouse storage sector was in expansionary territory for the seventh straight month in August, according to a survey jointly released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and CMST Development Co Ltd. The index tracking the sector's development stood at 52 percent last month, down 0.2 percentage point from July, the survey showed. A reading above 50 percent indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 percent reflects contraction.
Express delivery business surges
China's courier sector registered expansion in August, according to a monthly industry index. The State Post Bureau said the monthly express delivery development index came in at 361.5 in August, up 16.2 percent year-on-year. The subindex for service quality grew 27.1 percent, the subindex for development scale picked up 10.6 percent and the subindex for development capacity rose 3.6 percent.
