Auto production, sales post steady growth
China's auto production and sales rose 7.4 percent and 7.9 percent year-on-year, respectively, in the first seven months, said an official from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, Wang Weiming said China is striving to increase its annual automobile sales by 3 percent to 27 million units this year. Wang added that it is necessary to strengthen departmental coordination and create policy synergy to stabilize and expand the consumption of both new energy vehicles and gasoline-powered vehicles.
Region to strengthen biz cooperation
Commerce authorities of the Yangtze River Delta region have signed a cooperation deal in Beijing aiming to advance regional market integration and facilitate the building of a unified national market. The authorities in Shanghai as well as the provinces of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui will deepen cooperation in six aspects, including promoting common market rules and systems and sharing trade logistics systems, according to the deal.
