Postal sector sees stable growth
China's postal industry witnessed stable growth in both business revenue and parcel volume in the first seven months of this year, official data showed. The industry raked in 848.23 billion yuan ($117.83 billion) in business revenue during the period, up 10.5 percent year-on-year, according to the State Post Bureau. In July alone, the business revenue totaled 119.45 billion yuan, up 5.3 percent year-on-year. Some 87.37 billion parcels were delivered in the January-July period, up nearly 13 percent year-on-year. Some 13.16 billion parcels were delivered in July alone, up nearly 10 percent year-on-year.
SF Airlines launches cargo route to UAE
A new air cargo route was launched on Wednesday linking Ezhou in Central China's Hubei province with Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates. This marked the launch of the first cargo route connecting the airport with the Middle East, said SF Airlines, China's largest air cargo carrier by fleet size. A weekly round-trip air cargo service is scheduled for this route, with a total of around 200 metric tons of air express capacity. The new route will mainly handle general cargo, e-commerce goods and express shipments.
