Beijing hosts International Conference on the Study of Information
The 2023 International Conference on the Study of Information kicked off in Beijing on Monday. The three-day event has brought together an esteemed gathering of renowned global experts, scholars, journalists, and thought leaders representing various nations, including China, the United Kingdom, Austria, Japan and so on.
The conference, first launched by the International Society for the Study of Information (IS4SI) in 2013, had previously been held in Moscow, Vienna, Gothenburg, Berkley, and online in Japan. This year's event, organized by the prestigious Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, marked its first hosting on Chinese soil.
Over the past two years, AI products like ChatGPT and GPT-4 have sparked huge interests and great innovation. This year's ICSI in response orchestrated thematic lecture, round-table discussions and various forums to address these new developments.
